Meet the CBM Puppies

This summer at Camp Barney Medintz, campers will experience something truly special — helping care for three adorable puppies as part of our new CBM Puppy Program.

The puppies will live at camp all summer alongside three puppy counselors and become part of daily camp life. Campers will have the opportunity to interact with, care for, play with, and help socialize the puppies through supervised activities, building responsibility, confidence, empathy, and connection along the way.

At the end of the summer, the puppies will be available for adoption within the CBM community and will go home with their new families following camp.

Supporting the Program

Rather than a traditional adoption fee, families selected to adopt a puppy will be asked to make a donation to support the future of the CBM Puppy Program and help make this experience possible for campers in summers to come.

Families can follow the puppies’ adventures, milestones, and camp memories all summer long on Instagram at @cbmpuppies.

Adoption Timeline

Week of June 14
An interest form will be shared via email and social media for families interested in potentially adopting one of the puppies.

June 28: Puppy Meet & Greet at the MJCCA
Interested families will have the opportunity to meet the puppies, learn more about the program, and spend time getting to know each puppy’s personality.

Week of July 13
Families who submitted an interest form will receive the official adoption application. Application deadline is July 22.

Week of July 26
Adoption decisions will be finalized and shared.
